Suspects arrested in local vehicle burglaries

Posted

On the night of Tuesday, November 12 two suspects in a recent wave of vehicle burglaries in the community were arrested by Globe Police. The pair has also been active in a number of other places around the state, according to the Globe Police Department.

The suspects, whom the GPD did not identify, were apprehended at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday with assistance from Gila County Sheriff’s Deputies. In addition to the vehicle break-ins, they were reportedly connected to “other theft-related crimes.” The GPD stated that the suspects did not currently live in Globe.

In an ongoing investigation, the department is working with other jurisdictions around Arizona to identify any other crimes with which the suspects might be connected. Globe PD said the two “have been terrorizing cities and towns in multiple jurisdictions across the state.”

The Globe Police Department would like to remind community members to take the proper steps to secure vehicles and safeguard any items of value against would-be thieves, and contact them upon seeing any suspicious activity in the neighborhood. Tips can be reported anonymously through the Tip411 app. Non-time-sensitive issues can be called in via the non-emergency number, (928) 402-1872.
