Arizona State Historic Preservation Office, Arizona Preservation Foundation, and the Arizona Downtown Alliance will be at Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., to offer guidance and encouragement to owners of historic buildings in restoring and revitalizing Miami, Globe and surrounding communities.
Those interested are asked to R.S.V.P. to bullionplaza786@gmail.com or by calling Bullion Plaza Museum at (928) 473-3700.
One of the community’s richest resources is its past. Partnering with state historic preservation groups is one way to secure expertise, encouragement, planning and guidance to find funding to revitalize commercial historic buildings.
On hand will be Jim McPherson, president of the Arizona Preservation Foundation; Kathryn Leonard, Arizona State Historic Preservation Officer; and Lani Lott, coordinator for the Arizona Downtown Alliance. Owners of commercial properties will have the chance to learn about things such as tax reclassification and tax credit opportunities to support rehabilitation, as well as how to attract and support business growth.
Anyone wanting to attend this event can also participate by Zoom.
