Penni Lynne Davis Padgett passed away in her home on May 3, 2025, surrounded by family. Penni was born March 9, 1956, in Manhattan, KS to Arnold Davis and Donava Maxwell. Penni is survived by son Matthew Cal and wife Alyx, Brother Phil Davis (Rhonda), Sisters Pam Huelskamp (Casey), and Patti Dunlap (Jud Watts). Preceded in death by Arnold Davis, Donava and Raymond Maxwell, and husband Frank Padgett.

Penni graduated in 1974 from Lakin High School. Penni entered the Women’s Army Corps serving from August 1974 to November 1979. Penni went on to nursing school and graduated in 1986 from George D. Wallace State Community College in Dothan, AL.

Penni worked as a traveling nurse for several years before settling down in Globe, AZ and continued her nursing career at CVRMC until retiring in 2014. Penni then went on to work for 10 more years at GCSO until retirement in 2024. Penni married Frank E. Padgett on April 12, 1997. Penni and Frank went on to live life loudly and with a smile. They had one son, Matthew and she had a favorite nephew, Chet. They have each given them grandchildren for her to watch over, Franklin, Tomas and Raymond.

Memorial services will be Saturday May 17, 2025, at 10:00 am at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.

The family is suggesting donations be made to the local Billet Hospice Office or the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
