Nicholas “Nick” Robles Salazar Sr.

Nicholas “Nick” Robles Salazar Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at 10:29 p.m. He was born on September 10, 1942, in Globe, Arizona, to Henry and Anita Salazar.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim, his sisters Maria Nader and Maria Carbajal (Pilar), his son, Nicholas Salazar Jr., and his daughters, Anissa Salazar Blair and Angela and her husband Frank Armenta. Nick Sr. has many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Dominic Molinar, Stephen Rivera, Nicholas Salazar III, Ariah Salazar, Estrella Salazar, Abraham Salazar, Esperanza Salazar, Francesca Salazar Olguin, Jake Salazar Blair, Francisco and Victoria Armenta, Anissa and Chase Lunsford, and Natalia Armenta and her future husband Noah Carpenter. Great grandchildren Adrian and Nathania Salazar, Briella Romero, Nicolangelo Molinar, Hailey Rae Armenta, and Nicholas and Everly May Evans.

Nick was preceded in death by his brothers Henry, Andres, and Arnold, his sisters Tillie Villareal and Henrietta Sanchez, and granddaughter Celestina Salazar.

An avid outdoorsman, Nick found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and best friend, Jim. He valued friendship, kindness, and the simple moments that made life meaningful. Nick was a hardworking and compassionate man who dedicated his life to his family and community. He retired from BHP Mining but also worked many other places including as a manager at Safeway, where he was known for his strong work ethic and leadership. Beyond his career, Nick had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

Nick leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. His warmth, wisdom, and selflessness will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on FOREVER in the hearts of his family and friends.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing”.
