Lucille Marie (Trethewey) 78, and Cecil Lee Evans 80, both passed away recently just a month apart. Lucille on March 3, 2025 and Cecil on April 1, 2025.
They had been married 59 years, creating a home filled with warmth and love.
They had made Pima, Az. their home for many years, but were both born and raised in Miami, attending Miami schools and were both MHS graduates; Lucille in 1964 and Cecil in 1962. Lucille became an X-ray Technician and Cecil a Centitied Registered Nurse Anesthetist. They were both passionate about their healthcare careers and dedicated countless hours to ensuring the well-being of others.
But their first passion was their son Lee, his wife Yunmi and grandson Thomas, truly the love of their lives. Lee and Yunmi are both healthcare professionals as well and also live in Pima. Lee says "We were a very close family, we did every thing together and saw each other everyday. They were the best parents anyone could ever have." Besides Lee and his family, survivors include Lucille's sister, Margaret and Cecil's brother and his wife, Rodger and Bernice. Also several nieces and nephews.
Lucille and Cecil were preceded in death by their parents, Wayne and Geraldine Trethewey and CL and Wanda Evans.
Graveside services were held at the Pima Cemetery for each of them as family and friends gathered to honor these two remarkable people who touched so many lives. Their legacies of love, laughter and kindness will continue to inspire each person who had the privilege to know them.
