Lady Tigers suffer home loss to Lady Chargers

The Globe Lady Tigers softball team dropped an 18-6 region game against the visiting Benjamin Franklin Lady Chargers last week at Noftsger Field.

“Overall my girls played good, but I disagreed with some umpire calls,” said head coach Frank Grice. “We had a girl out at second, but they said we dropped it and we kind of fell apart.”

The Lady Tigers got on the scoreboard when Precious Bendle made her way around the diamond, courtesy of passed balls. Late in the game, Ben Franklin unleashed five runs to take a commanding lead over the Lady Tigers.

“This is what we would consider a rebuilding year, but overall our girls are doing so great,” said Grice. “I have girls that won’t give up … all of my girls are doing well and I am so proud of them.”
