Henry M Benitez, 93, was born on November 23, 1931 and passed away on April 15, 2025.
He was born and raised in Miami, AZ to parents Enrique and Carmen Benitez. Henry attended Miami High School and joined the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955.
On July 10, 1955, he married the love of his life, Lucy Tellez. They moved to Tucson, AZ in 1959 where they built their forever home and continued growing their family.
Henry worked for Magma and Freeport mines as well as Golden Pin Lanes, careers which he all loved.
Henry is survived by his loving wife Lucy, his children, Sonny (Terry), Miriam (Frank) and David, Sisters Lucille and Violet.
He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Carmen, brothers, Pete and Bobby and grandson Skye.
A memorial service is planned for July 14, 2025 at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana AZ at 10 am.
The family ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled service.
