Frank Eugene Joy passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, in Globe, Arizona surrounded by his family. Frank, 92, was born on Aug. 26, 1932, to Homer and Edna Joy in Gisela, Arizona.
Frank grew up and attended school in Young, Arizona graduating from Young High School. Frank met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann Thurlo, on Sept. 29, 1951, in Young, Arizona. They enjoyed a long, beautiful marriage of 73 wonderful years.
Frank worked and retired from Inspiration/Cyprus Miami Mining Corporation as a mobile crane operator for 32 long years. He and Mary Ann also owned and operated the Westside Trailer Park for over 40 years. Frank loved hunting, camping, boating, going on side-by-side rides and traveling.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Edna Joy; son Melvin Eugene Joy; brother Dwight Joy (Betty) and sister Lenora Clark (Bud).
Frank is survived by his wife Mary Ann Joy; son Calvin Joy (Teri, who Frank lovingly referred to as his “favorite daughter-in-law”); daughter Lynell Watkins (Ken); grandchildren Becky Joy, Christa Colvin and Kayla Colvin; great-grandchild Remy Williams; and many loving nieces and nephews.
