Car enthusiasts and readers enthralled by road trips may want to follow the daily progress of this one: a 7,400-mile adventure that began in Anchorage Aug. 27 and finishes in the tropical beaches of Cabo San Lucas – crossing 38 lines of latitude and three different countries. Rally the Globe Marathon drivers will pilot some 50 vintage cars through Globe on Tuesday, Sept. 19, for a planned stop at the 1916 Train Depot on Broad Street. It’s described as a “safe and secure timed race in vintage cars,” and organizers invite the public to stop by for a look at the cars and watch them be checkered-flagged in sequence and back on their way. While they’re here, driver teams will be fed by local caterer Jordan Baker-Johnson, of Vida E Catering. Estimated arrival and departure times are from noon until 3 p.m.
