Your Neighbors Need You!


The American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to respond to the needs of their neighbors when disasters like the recent wildfires and flooding affect their community. Trainings to prepare volunteers are being held Thursday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 at the Lee Kornegay Intermediate School in Globe.

Registration and Check-in:

8 – 9 a.m.

Disaster Cycle Services and Disaster Action Team Introduction:

9 – 9:30 a.m. Introduction

9:30 – 10 a.m. DCS and DAT Videos

Shelter Services Associate Training:

10 – 10:15 a.m. Break

10:15 – 11:15 a.m. Shelter Fundamentals

11:15 a.m. – noon Serving Shelter Clients During Covid-19

noon – 12:15 p.m. Working Lunch Provided

12:15 – 12:45 p.m. Mission Cards

12:45 – 1:15 p.m. Deployment Fundamentals

1:15 – 2:00 p.m. Registration Table and Shelter Forms

2 – 2:15 p.m. Break
