Wilderness first aid class coming in fall

Posted

A wilderness first aid class in the Globe–Miami area is planned for this fall.

What is a wilderness setting? By definition, if emergency services is more than one hour away, it is a wilderness setting. Other issues can complicate a situation to make it a “wilderness environment.”

Anyone who spends time hunting, fishing, or any other activities that places them in a “wilderness” setting would benefit by having the training. The training will cover a number of procedures that might be required when help might be hours or even days away.

This nationally-accredited course is 16 hours of classwork and hands-on practice over a Saturday and Sunday. Preregistration is required and space is very limited. For more information, call 928-425-9253 or 928-200-9348.
