Wanda Louise Lett-Reustle

Posted

Born Jan. 2, 1936 in West Plains, Mo., Wanda Louise Lett-Reustle was the third of four daughters born to Burley and Sylvia Crites. Wanda married Tommy Everett Lett in 1954 and moved to Globe, Ariz., in 1963. She was a devoted mother to Tommy Dale (1955-1961), Kathy Lett-Ihrig, Duane Lett, Kristie Lett-Hudson and Sherrie Lett-Carreno, and was the doting grandmother, “Nan,” to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Wanda was known for her baking skills and took pride in her homemade pies and pastries. She was an entrepreneur who owned several restaurants throughout Arizona. Along with spending time with her family, she enjoyed classic country music, Globe Mexican food and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

She was our rock and the center of our family and will be deeply missed. Wanda was 83 years young when she passed away Jan. 10, 2019 in Globe, Ariz.

The Lett family would like to thank the entire staff in the emergency room and the ICU at Cobre Valley Medical Center. Your refusal to give up allowed us a precious 48 hours to say goodbye; we are forever grateful.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Walter Reustle, four children, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Barbra Tafoya and Burline Crites, and is preceded in death by her son Tommy Dale.

There will be a small gathering for friends to pay respect on Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church, 1362 S. Hagen Rd., Globe, Ariz. Private family services and tree planting ceremony to be held in Pinetop, Ariz. in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations or volunteerism be directed to the Cobre Valley Medical Center in her honor.
