Walter Woys, Jr. Chandler, Arizona, 89, passed away January 9th, while under Hospice care in Chandler, Arizona, of causes incident to age.

He was born in Montrose Colorado on April 29, 1928, to Walter Woys and Nellie May Woys.

Much of his childhood was spent in Montrose raised on a farm.

He moved to Phoenix Arizona as Teenager and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. He served in the US Airforce in Japan as World War II was ending.

He married Lorraine Young on August 1, 1952.

When the opportunity arose, he and Lorraine purchased a Service Station in Globe Arizona. He and Lorraine grew from owning and operating a Blakely Service Station to expanding to an Oil and Gas Wholesale Jobber (Woys Oil and LP Gas Co.) with up to 7 service stations and a home delivery Propane Company.

Walt enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Upon retirement, they moved to Chandler, Arizona.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, his sisters Wanda Luna, Almeda Weaver, Wick (Bill) Kain, his children, Walter Woys III (Kathy), James Woys (Denise), Linda Enders (Bill). His grandchildren, Tiffany Woys, Chantel Woys, Jason Woys, Jennifer Greening, Justin Woys, Rhonda O’Byrne and Lorrie Andrade. His great grandchildren, Errol Woys, Aiden, Austin, Cole Greening, Jake and Josh O’Byrne, Destiny and Zack Andrade.  One great-great grandson Riggin Norcross.
