Vonda Lee DeLauder, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018. She was born on May 7, 1929 to her parents, Canton and Lexie Slone.
She served her country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a great cook.
Vonda enjoyed working in the yard. She also read her bible daily and loved collecting angels.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Canton and Lexie Slone; her husband, Eugene DeLauder; two brothers, James Slone and Ish Slone; her sister, Arbutus Wilson; two half-brothers, June Bug and Rocky; and one half-sister, Zettie.
She is survived by her loving and caring son and daughter-in-law, Gene “Eddie” and Denee DeLauder; two half-sisters, Helen and Bessie and one-half brother, L.A.
She is survived by four wonderful grandchildren, James, David, Joshua and Sarah and one great-grandchild, Isabella.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Bulman Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe, AZ 85501.
Interment with Military Honors to follow at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3751 E. US Highway 60, Miami, AZ 85539.
