Globe held a Veteran’s Day memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Globe Park. It was followed by a luncheon at the VFW hall.

MIAMI — Saturday morning the Town of Miami honored our local veterans with the annual Veteran’s day parade and ceremony.
The weather was perfect as the crowd gathered to watch the several parade entries, which included the Towns of Miami, Superior and Globe, Tri-City Fire Department, Globe High School JROTC, Miami High School Marching band, Miami Lions, Globe Moose Lodge, the Copper Country Riders Drill team and several others.
After the parade, Mayor Darryl Dalley emceed the Veteran’s day program, with Globe High School JROTC doing the presentation of colors and Miami High School marching band playing the National Anthem.
Speakers included: Arizona House of Representative, David Cook, Veteran Mike Pastor and Veteran Marc Marin.
Retired United States Air Force Veteran Captain Daniel J. Cruz and Retired United States Air Force Veteran Master Sgt. John Gonzales, both Miami, Arizona natives, were honored for their bravery and outstanding heroism.
For their service, a brick was placed for each of them in the Veteran’s Memorial wall located at Memorial park in Miami.
