As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, San Carlos Apache Tribal Chairman Terry Rambler issued an "emergency executive order" that all buildings and offices of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, including the Mitchell Hoffman Administration Building and all district offices, be on lockdown.

The order took effect at 9:30 a.m., remaining in effect until further notice, he said.

Rambler said, "The order is in direct response by a credible threat by an individual known to have possession of firearms. The Tribe's law enforcement authorities are aware of this threat and are actively searching the area to apprehend this individual. This individual is believed to be present on the San Carlos Apache Reservation."

SCAPD has 25 police officers on patrol, together with two K-9 dogs.

Anyone with information that may help apprehend this individual is urged to contact the San Carlos Apache Police or other law enforcement agencies.
