UPDATE: The scene has been cleared and all streets have now been re-opened (except for Cedar, which is currently closed for a classic car group that is meeting at the Copper Hen).
Globe Chief of Police Dale Walters told the Silver Belt that this morning's bomb threat was a hoax and the gas leak was due to a connection that has since been fixed.

UPDATE: Great Western Bank reopened as of 11:45 a.m., and will be open until 5 p.m. today.
A bomb threat at the Great Western Bank, at 161 W. Oak Street, Globe, has closed the branch as well as nearby streets.
Globe Chief of Police Dale Walters said the bomb threat is believed to be a hoax.
There is also currently a natural gas leak in the alley behind the Globe Fire Department, 131 W. Cedar St.
Streets are currently closed from Cedar to Pine. Broad Street remains open.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
