UPDATE: Globe Mayor Al Gameros has posted the following statement on his Facebook page, "To the residents of our Globe-Miami community. We need to offer our prayers and condolences to the families that were effected by the tragic event that occurred at the Jammerz Bar last night in downtown Globe. I ask that the community be patient with the ongoing investigation by the Globe Police Department and the DPS Crime Unit. Please be aware and sympathetic of the families involved as the next of kin notification is ongoing. I want to thank all the Public Safety First Responders that responded last night and continue to be on scene. A news conference will be scheduled later this afternoon."
A section of North Broad Street is currently closed due to a police situation.
At 11:33 p.m. Sunday, the Gila County Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force Deputy and Detective responded to Jammerz Bar in reference to an agency assist for the Globe Police Department, according to a Gila County Sheriff's Office report.
The City of Globe has announced that there will be a press briefing today at 1 p.m.
