Covid-19 cautious Trash Mobs happen every month along with larger-scale quarterly community clean ups. The next one is scheduled for Feb. 27 from 8-10 a.m. along Hwy 60 between Main Street/Escudilla west towards Sonic and North Cherry Avenue.
Bring your used grocery bags or other shopping bags to fill up with trash. Bring your masks and gloves too; we’re covering a large enough area that we can all spread out and maintain proper social distance, while pitching in together to help clean up our city.
The Trash Mob on Jan. 30 had volunteers ages 6-68 clean the highway for two hours, removing a dumpster full of trash. Thanks to the incredible people from Capstone Mining, Cathy Sanchez-Canez Memorial Foundation, City of Globe, Cobre Valley Watershed Partnership, Gila Proud, Globe High School, US Forest Service-Globe Ranger Station, Hunter & Hunter Construction and Globe Rotary.
