“Tooter” Frita Lee Boswell, 72

“Tooter” Frita Lee Boswell, age 72, of Claypool passed away on April 11, 2017 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz. She was born in Miami, Ariz. on July 26, 1944, the daughter of Lenel and Ethel Mitchell.

She attended Miami Schools and graduated from Miami High School in 1962. Following high school, she attended Beauty School and was a beautician in her earlier years. She also attended and graduated from the COTA Academy. She worked for the Department of Corrections as a security guard and later worked for Apache Gold Casino.

Frita’s greatest passion was cooking. She loved camping, fishing and gardening but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenel and Ethel Mitchell.

Frita will continue to live through her children; “Cricket” Jennifer Alvarez, Shawna Gunther and “Jimmy” Cecil James Boswell; her sister, Wanda Evans; her son-in-law, Mat Stauffer; her ex-husband, “Butch” Cecil Boswell; her sister-in-law, “Peanut” Ginger Benton; her grandchildren, Corey, Devin, Ryley, Logan, Leigh Ann, D.C., Mandy and Hanna; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church.
