COOLIDGE — The Tiger boys basketball team traveled to Coolidge on Wednesday, January 17 and raced to the 99-77 victory over the host Bears.
The Tigers led 30-18 after one quarter and 55-41 at half-time.
The Tigers outscored the Bears 44-36 in the second half to secure the victory.
The Tigers had three players in double-figure scoring with BJ Burries netting 42, Braden Dalton added 21, and Brandon Pina popped in 14. Cory Chee contributed 9, Martine Reede 8, and Daniel Widner 5. “It was a total team effort tonight”, Tiger coach James Simmons stated. “We really pushed the ball and ran the system to get layups and steals”, Simmons added.
“The team responded well on the road and with a loud gym and large crowd”, Simmons concluded.
