Globe — Globe High School Tigers were up early Friday morning, August 4 at Harbison Field participating in the Marine Core Challenge.
Marine Corporal Osbaldo Abel Contrerasnieto just happened to be on leave, in town visiting family, when received a call about the challenge and was more than will to help with it..
Corporal Contrerasnieto is a former 2014 Globe High School Graduate who also played football and graduated from Globe with possession of the Copper Kettle.
Being home win general was amazing for him and seeing what has changed and how the students are becoming is nice he said.
The team had to endure a vigorous workout with running, weight lifting, and team work.
SSgt. Jenner, Sgt. Randall, Sgt. Goode, and PFC Bash were the Marines who put on the challenge and encouraged the players to press on and finish the obstacle course.
