Shirley Hammer, 60

Shirley was born on Feb. 21, 1959 in Trinidad Colo. to John and Julie Grinder. Shirley lived her first few years in a three-room house with her parents and siblings. Then moved to various towns throughout Colorado, then to Arkansas and finally to Globe, Ariz. in the mid 60s.

She is preceded in death by her son Billy Hayes, both her parents John and Julie Grinder, her brother Irving Grinder, and her nephew Tristan Grinder.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Jim Hammer, her sons Jesse (Michelle) Curl of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jim Bob Hammer (Amy), Nick (Trisha) Hammer both of Globe, Ariz. She also leaves behind her younger sister Lela Ortiz (Bear) and Sharron Taylor of Roosevelt Ariz., 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Shirley spent most of her life laughing and making others laugh. Even throughout her illness she was always quick with smile and a joke.

She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed forever more.
