Share your painted rocks

GLOBE-MIAMI —

The Globe Rocks phenomenon has caught the imagination of our area, and we’d like you to showcase your painted rocks at the CVCA. Bring in rocks you’ve painted or found to display in our exhibition room.

Catching fire in 2017, Globe Rocks are rocks painted with images, messages or designs that show off the varied and talented residents of our community. The rocks are hidden and re-hidden throughout the area, making each nook and cranny of the area a potential surprise. We hope many of these very special rocks make a pit stop at the CVCA on their journey around town. Continue to visit as rocks come in to see the marvelous art featured on these inspiring and unique canvases.

A reception for the rock gallery will be held Saturday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. and will feature rock painting stations to add to this community-wide exhibit.

Bring your rocks to the CVCA, 101 N. Broad Street, during our regular hours: Monday - Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, or Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m.  or contact the CVCA at 928-425-0884 or email director@globearts.org with any questions.

This exhibition is coordinated as part of the AZ Creative Communities Institute, and is a collaboration between the City of Globe and the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts.
