Miami Senior Center update
MIAMI — The Miami Senior Center at 506 W. Live Oak St. offers lunch Monday through Friday. Call 928-473-4190. The suggested donation is $2.
Wednesday, Jan. 9 — $2 Biscuit and gravy, Coffee Club, 8-10 a.m.
Menu: Oven baked chicken, ranch beans and baked potatoes, wheat roll, orange.
Thursday, Jan. 10 — Bingo, 10:30 a.m.
Menu: Cheese burger on a bun, potato wedges, 3-bean salad, melon wedges.
Friday, Jan. 11 — Coffee Club, 8-10 a.m., Karaoke, 10:30 a.m.
Menu: Green chili and pinto beans, spinach garden salad, wheat tortilla, rice pudding and mixed fruit.
Monday, Jan. 14 — $2 Biscuit and gravy, Coffee Club, 8-10 a.m. Benefits assistance
Menu: Turkey, confetti slaw, mashed sweet potatoes, wheat roll and pumpkin muffin, melon mix.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 — Loteria
Menu: Tuna salad with wheat bread, vegetable soup, broccoli slaw, Mandarin oranges.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 — $2 Biscuit and gravy, Coffee Club, 8-10 a.m., Elvis Concert, 11 a.m.
Menu: Chili rellanos, pinto beans and Spanish rice, tossed salad with tomato wedges, sliced banana with vanilla pudding.
All meals are served with 1 percent milk.
Miami Senior Center cannot deliver homebound meals without authorization from a case manager. Many people believe that they just have to call the center to receive a meal, but they must be referred through Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens. Call 1-800-293-9393.
Globe Active Adult Center update
Book sale through the month of January. Paper backs five for a $1, hardbacks, three for $2. Legal aid Monday, Jan. 14 at 10:30 a.m. Biscuits and gravy on Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. $3 per bowl. Benefits Assistance Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or call 928-425-8863 or Pinal-Gila Council at 1-800-293-9393.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 11:45 a.m. Ages 60 and over is $2.50 per meal, under 60, $5 per meal. The Globe Active Adult Center is located at 579 S. Broad St., and the phone number is 928-425-9030.

Menu: Meat loaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli, wheat bread, peach cobbler.
Friday, Jan. 11 — Bingo and crafts.
Menu: Cheeseburger, potato salad. 3-bean salad, wheat bun, strawberry and banana yogurt.
Monday, Jan. 14 — Open activities.
Menu: Mac and cheese, cauliflower, mixed veggies, wheat bread, ambrosia.
Tuesday, Jan. 15 —Exercise, stretch and flex.
Menu: Chicken enchiladas, pinto beans, Spanish green beans, fruit Jell-O.
Wednesday, Jan. 16 — Bingo and Ceramics
Menu: Fish fillet, broccoli slaw, carrot and raisin salad, wheat roll, pineapple upside down cake.
All meals served with 2 percent milk.
