Scott Riley Jackson

Posted

Scott Riley Jackson died on July 10, 2018. Scott was born May 2, 1957 in Tucson, Ariz., and experienced his first move at three weeks old. That was the beginning of many moves in his lifetime.

His father worked in construction and the family lived and worked in every back corner of Arizona plus Australia and Indonesia.

In between, times were spent in Globe and all but one (in Australia) of the school years were in Globe. High school rodeos and 4-H were the main focus through those years.

Scott went on to work in mining, first with Energy Fuels, then Cyprus Mining and Asarco. He travelled extensively to Peru and Mexico City while with Asarco and enjoyed all of the many beautiful places.

Scott was very proud of his children, sons Erick (Heather) and Brian (Megan) and step-daughter Heidi (Frank). He was then blessed with grandchildren: Erick’s boys, Curtis and Leo; Brian’s girls, Rylee, Taeler and Braelynn; plus Heidi’s, Chandler, Hailee and Hope.

He leaves also his mother, Nancy Jackson, his sister Kellie and aunt Marilyn and uncle Jim Shipman.

Already gone, and we like to think waiting for him, are his very special “Granny,” Mary Jackson, and his father Curtis Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
