After losing to Miami in mid-December, the San Carlos Braves have gone a four game win streak. Three of the four wins come against section opponents, placing San Carlos at third place in the 2A South Section. The San Carlos basketball Braves are 6-3 in Section play and have an overall record of 8-6.
The Braves battled the Globe Tigers on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The Braves came away with an 81-37 victory on the road. Sophomore guard, Cameron Mull (#10) was all over the court on defense and offense. At one point Mull (#10) hit three 3-point shots in a row to devastate any hopes Globe had at a comeback. The Globe Tigers did not give up as they played tough defense throughout the game. The Tigers were making offensive rebounds but could not get their shots to go in. While the San Carlos Braves had a solid shot percentage and good play coming from multiple players.
The San Carlos Braves continue their basketball season with home games against Santa Rita, Jan. 14 and Safford, Jan. 16. Both games are home games and will be played at the San Carlos Braves home gym. San Carlos hosts Miami for a very important section match up on Jan. 21
