Safe Teen Driving Classes Now Open

The Gila County Public Health Department’s School Health Liaison Program will be hosting a Safe Teen Driving Class called, “Arrive Alive” on Friday, September 29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Gila County Public Health Department at 5515 S. Apache Avenue, Suite 100, in Globe, Arizona.

This is a free, four-hour class to help teens pass their driver’s permit test. This class will also cover topics such as texting while driving, traffic laws and substance abuse prevention. The cost for the class is free and lunch is provided.

Upon successful test completion, each student will be awarded with a safety kit for their vehicle and a certificate of completion. Completion of this class however, does not mean that the student has obtained their driver’s permit.

Students must still visit their local Department of Motor Vehicle office to take the official driver’s permit test. To register for this free class, please contact Gila County Public Health Department at 928-402-8814 or email: [email protected]
