Rosemary Brewer

Rosemary Brewer passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born in Globe Ariz. on Oct. 27, 1945 to Lawrence and Dorothy Brewer who had three children. She grew up in Globe, where she attended school. When the mines shut down in Globe, the family moved to Grants, New Mexico where she met and married Ron Andress. They eventually moved back to Globe and had two sons, Dion and Kenneth. Rosemary was active in her church teaching Sunday school and loved family camping trips to the “Rusty Nail” in Arizona’s White Mountains. The family moved to Elko, Nev. in 1973 and had a daughter, Patricia. 

Rosemary completed her high school education while working a full-time job and raising her family. Rosemary and Ron parted ways in 1979. She worked for many years at Elko General Hospital as a certified nursing assistant. Rosemary always felt a great sense of joy in helping others. She started a 20-year career with Newmont and retired in 2009 as a haul truck operator. 

In her retirement she enjoyed NASCAR racing and was passionate about art and drawing. Above all, Rosemary loved and cherished spending time with family and friends.

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Barbara (Larry) LeCompte of Globe Ariz.; sons Dion and Kenneth (Candy) Andress of Elko Nev.; daughter, Patricia Bauer of Havre, Mont. and grandchildren, Michael Andress, Shaudra Smith, Brian Andress, paul Thurman, J.T. Andress, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; father, Lawrence and brother Larry.

A day of remembrance was held at Burns funeral Home Chapel.
