The graduation ceremony was held outdoors on May 28. Approximately 35 people gathered for this year’s ceremony. It began with Easton Perez proudly carrying the US flag; he was followed by Taylor Hicks, who carried the Arizona State flag. The children recited the Pledge of Allegiance in English and Spanish followed by reciting a verse about our American Flag then sang “America the Beautiful.”

The program proceeded with the children demonstrating the skills they learned throughout the school year by answering question asked by their teacher.

Some of the questions were “Who discovered America?” and “What year was America discovered?” They identified letters, numbers, and months of the year and answered questions about the Statue of Liberty. They also responded to a Spanish quiz.

The children then proceeded to sing 12 songs they had learned. This was followed with the presentation of diplomas and awards.

Student of the Month of May award was presented to Theo Messiah. A special award was presented to Easton Perez for his dedicated attendance.

The ceremony was concluded by the graduates reciting the Good-bye Farewell Poem.
