Posted

Rosalie Ann Reynolds, age 65, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 from complications due to chronic diabetes at Abrazo West Campus Medical Center in Goodyear, Arizona with her family by her side. Rosie was born in Miami, Arizona on Sept. 24, 1955 to Vicente and Emilia (Ortiz) Zapata.

She had one son, Neil, from Harold Roberts and later married David Reynolds from Tucson. She worked as a CNA at the hospitals in Globe, Tucson and Phoenix. She was very compassionate and dedicated to all her patients. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed sharing stories and said how proud she was of Cara and Neil Jr., her grandkids. Her son Neil was the pride and love of her life. Our thanks and gratitude to our nephew Neil for the many years of taking care of his Mom, our little sister.

Throughout the many years of being ill, she never complained and greeted you with her beautiful smile. She was always more concerned about others than herself. Towards the end, when she heard about the fires near Superior, Globe and Miami, as sick as she was, that’s the first thing she would ask us and said she was praying for everyone that it didn’t reach their homes.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Reynolds, her parents Vicente and Emilia Zapata, brother Joe Arthur Zapata and nephew Bobby Martinez. She is survived by her son Neil Roberts of Goodyear, Az.; grandchildren Cara and Neil Jr. of Florence, Az.; sisters Terry Rivers of Mesa, Az., Betty Lamb of Phoenix, Az. and Olga (George) Martinez of Superior, Az.; and many nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no public services. Her last wishes were to be cremated and her ashes, along with her husband David Reynolds and David’s grandfather, scattered at Windy Hill where they spent the best years of their lives fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. We love you Rosie, you will be greatly missed by your family and all who knew you.
