Robert (Bob) Murphy, age 78, of Globe, Arizona passed away on July 19, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife and children. Robert was born on July 12, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Wilbur F. and Eleanor E. Murphy. Robert was preceded in death by both his parents and six siblings: Fred and John Murphy, Donna Komula, Barbara Foree, Peggy Gladden and Sally Fernandez. He is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie Murphy, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage, and his sister Linda G. Ewing (George Allen). He is lovingly remembered by his four children Tammy Anderson (Eric), Robert Murphy Jr., Troy Murphy and Tiffany Poarch (Cody), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom he dearly loved. Bob enlisted in the United States Navy on Jan. 30, 1962, served in Vietnam on the USS Mattaponi and was honorably discharged in 1965. He met the love of his life, Rosemarie Rondo, in San Francisco and brought her to Globe. Bob and Rosemarie married on June 4, 1965. Most of his life Bob was a heavy equipment operator, but his passion was mining at the mills with his brothers, sister and nephews. He will be remembered for his daily visits to family and friends. Family was the most important thing to him above anything else. He always had the biggest smile and the warmest heart. Bob was quick-witted, funny, loving and kind, and he had the most amazing strength a person could have. He will be immensely missed by all. There will be a graveside service at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens on August 6 at 10 a.m.
