Continuing its efforts to create social and economic benefits for local communities, Resolution Copper announced that 11 local high school students recently were presented scholarships valued at nearly $30,000.

SUPERIOR – Continuing its efforts to create social and economic benefits for local communities, Resolution Copper announced that 11 local high school students recently were presented scholarships valued at nearly $30,000. The students may use their scholarships to attend any college in Arizona.

This year’s recipients:

General Scholarship

Ashley Lira, Superior High School;

Victoria Juarez, Superior High School;

Matthew Hernandez, Superior High School;

Naomi Bo Hing, Superior High School;

Bailey Kelly, Apache Junction High School;

Leadership Scholarship;

Logan Robison, Globe High School; and,

Mathew Hernandez, Superior High School.

Rickus Scholarship

Naomi Bo Hing, Superior High School.

Native American Scholarship

Amanda Paxson, Alchesay High School;

Rosella Altaha, Alchesay High School;

Leona Tate, Alchesay High School;

Diayne Harvey, Alchesay High School; and,

Ryan Stiffarm, Chandler High School.

Resolution Copper’s scholarship program is one way the company is demonstrating its commitment to advancing economic development in the communities where we do business. Over the past 16 years, the company has provided 163 scholarships totaling more than $642,000 to area high school students.

“Education is critical to the future and I am so very happy Resolution Copper can play a part in building stronger communities by supporting these outstanding students,” said Andrew Lye, project director, Resolution Copper.
