Luke Burgett wrestles for Globe at 152 pounds. He likes wrestling because it is a good sport, anybody can do it, but they have to be mentally tough. He has been wrestling since second grade. He has played for the Globe football team as a “weak-side end,” on defense. A favorite sports memory is of a game against Safford when he was a sophomore. He intercepted a pass and ran as fast as he could for a Globe touchdown. History is his favorite subject, and he likes Globe High School since the students are so close to each other. The town is a great town, he says, because of the great people. He plans to attend NAU to study finance.
