Senior Esmeralda Guardado plays volleyball as a “libero,” a roaming defender at the rear of the court. So far volleyball is her favorite sport, but she is going to try out for soccer this year. One of her favorite sports memories is of her team winning the bronze medal in a volleyball tournament in Florence. Her favorite subject in school is mathematics, which she likes because she likes to solve problems and to work with numbers. She likes Globe High School because of the great relationship students have with teachers. After graduation she plans to attend Mesa Community College to study interior design.
