Ben Thompson is a senior at Globe High School who has played baseball for two years in high school. FFA is his favorite class in high school. When he graduates, he wants to be a wildland firefighter. He likes Globe because of the “good people around here.” He likes the high school because the teachers “don’t come down on you and help you pass.” His favorite sports memories revolve around playing and traveling to games with his friends. He plays left field and pitcher and was the finishing pitcher in the first game of the year with Florence, which stands at number three in 3A Central. Florence won 10-0 but he feels good about the upcoming game with Willcox, which stands fifth in 2A East.
