Phillip L. Holguin, 72

Phillip Lopez Holguin, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at his home in Miami, Ariz., surrounded by his family.

He was born in Globe, Ariz. on March 10, 1947 to Louis Holguin and Margret Lopez.

Phillip served in Vietnam as a United States Marine and received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart.

He ended his career for Phelps Dodge/Freeport McMoRan as a heavy equipment operator in the smelter.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Holguin, and his son, Angel Rocha.

Phillip is survived by his sister, Vera (Roland) Valencia; brother Faustino Holguin; sons, Joe Paul (Rachel) Rocha, Michael (Tanya) Holguin and Phillip Holguin Junior; daughter Rosemary (George) Rocha; grandsons Jason (Savanna) Holguin, Ryan (Makayla) Holguin, Raymond Singh, Steven Singh, Anthony Singh and Michael Friajo; granddaughters, Angela Rocha, Destiny Rocha, Ashley Tarango, Jessica Friajo and Monica Friajo, great-grandsons, Maverick Holguin and Isaiah Tarango; great-granddaughters, Audrina Singh, Jazalynn Holguin, Aubrey Tarango and Haiden Friajo.

Phillip loved hunting, fishing and crafting copper wire rosaries and critters.

Phillip will be greatly missed by all and we can take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
