Phillip Andrew Griego, 56

Phillip Andrew Griego passed away at the age of 56 in Scottsdale, Az. on Oct. 8, 2021. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 24, 1965. He leaves his 25-year career in mining ultimately as a Senior Supervisor for the Anode Plant for the company now known as Freeport McMoRan (formerly Phelps Dodge and Cyprus). Phil also proudly served our country as a Special Purpose Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic for the Air Force.

He found peace in the outdoors, spending his off time hunting, fishing, golfing or going off-road. Phillip found solace in serene settings like the White Mountains, a favorite of his, and always took friends or family. He took each day as a gift and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Jose Griego and Bernice (Moya) Griego. He is survived by his wife Terri, son Joshua and daughter Brittney. His memory also lives on through his siblings Ron, Joe (Dede), Loretta and Matthew (Marla) as well as many loved aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Many will remember his impact on the community.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Arizona on Saturday, October 30 with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10 a.m.. Masks are optional for the service.
