The Nnee Bich’o Nii Apache Transit made their second shuttle run to the Apache Sky Casino for the public on Monday, Sept. 16.
There were fewer passengers than the first run on Sept. 6 but they enjoyed themselves and had helpful suggestions for future trips.
Stephen Moses of Bylas made the long journey to enjoy the atmosphere of a different casino. He received his $20 in free play and $5 voucher for lunch. He ordered his lunch and sat to a machine while he ate; he was not going to waste one minute at a chance to win big.
An elderly couple from Peridot expressed their appreciation for the shuttle service. The husband, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that it was their third trip to Apache Sky. He went on to say, “We like coming here but the drive is too far and I’m usually too tired to gamble when I get here.” He recalled his days, as a young man, working in the mines in San Manuel and how he never thought the Tribe would ever build anything like the casino out there.
Other passengers enjoyed the privacy offered at the Apache Sky Casino.
Another recommended Apache Transit schedule the next trip at the beginning of the month “when he has more money to spend”.
Apache Transit scheduled another shuttle run to Apache Sky Casino on Friday, Oct. 4. The fee is $20 roundtrip.
