My Maria, July 2, 1970, Maria Louisa Mesa became Mrs. Jose (Angel) Medina Sr. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz. I came up from my other home town of Phoenix for a short while working as an auto mechanic at T&M Garage in Miami when My Maria stole my heart, again as I had known her since childhood. My plans were to eventually enter the military but she changed my plans. Soon after hiring out at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company in September of 1969 we started to make plans and finally the big day came with a wonderful honeymoon in beautiful down town Show Low, Ariz. Upon returning I convinced my coworker truck driver friends that I had been married for some time thus evading a very harsh hazing with a tar like grease called Crater.
