Milton Woodburn, 95, passed away on Sunday July 8, 2018 at Mountain Vista Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.

He leaves his wife of 75 years, Lucille Woodburn; his daughters, Karen Roebke and Denise Woodburn; two grandsons, Jeff Roebke (Jenni) and Steven Roebke; two great-granddaughters, and brother Morris Woodburn (Margie).

Milton was born in England on Feb. 11, 1923, the son of Abraham and Eleanor Woodburn. His family moved to Globe when he was two years old. He graduated from Globe High School. He later worked at the copper mines and owned two local businesses.

Milton proudly served his country in World War II. He was recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a proud member of the Greatest Generation.

He was affectionately known as “Papa” to his family and will be missed greatly. Graveside services were held July 13, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz.
