Michael Renee Flores, 56

Michael Renee Flores, age 56, died October 29, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. 

He was born on November 14, 1960 in Los Angeles, California to Refugia (Cuca) Flores. He was the youngest of three children. 

Michael grew up in the Globe area, attending Holy Angels and Globe Schools. 

One of his biggest passions was fishing and he loved teaching others how to fish. Another was painting and drawing, and he was an amazing artist. 

At age 23, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked for a private law enforcement firm in various positions for 25 years. 

Michael acquired a CDL and began truck driving in 2010, traveling all over and he loved sharing beautiful scenic pictures of the places he traveled, and telling about the dangers of being on the road.

In 2014 Michael stopped trucking and moved to Phoenix, where he could be closer to family and friends. He started working in the maintenance department for a assisted living facility in Phoenix.

Michael was always willing to help others in their need, he was very generous and friendly with a big smile and laugh.

Michael is survived by his mother Refugia (Cuca) Flores Dunavant, a daughter Sonseeahray, a brother Peter Chavez and a sister Crystal Chavez,  in addition to many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.

Michael we pray is home with our Lord, doing what he loved, fishing and drawing, and getting together with family and friends who have gone before him. Michael will be deeply missed and remembered by his family and his friends. 

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday December 9, 2017 at Holy Angels Church in Globe, Arizona. 

Rosary will start at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Globe Cemetery.
