Michael A. Sartain passed away after a lengthy illness on March 7, 2017.

Born in 1950 in Miami, Ariz. to George and Georgia (Burns) Sartain, Mike lived his life in Miami until he entered college and then the IBEW Local #518 apprenticeship, where he became a Journeyman Electrician.

Mike worked in many locations throughout Arizona as a Journeyman Electrician. Mike was active in sports, playing football and being on the track team during high school. It was during those years he earned his nickname “SAR,” which followed him from then on. Hunting soon became his passion and he worked hard to expand his hunting skills.

Mike was known to be out hunting whenever he had the chance. He shared this passion with his family, especially his daughter, Hannah and nephew, Jarrod. Mike spent many hours volunteering for the AYSO and the Piranha Swim team in support of Hannah’s love of participating in those sports.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jendean (Deanie) Lambert; daughter, Hannah McDaniel (Joel); sister, Debbie Ortiz; brother-in-law, Nelson Ross; two nieces, five nephews, two great nieces and two great nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Barbara Denton.

Services will be April 1 at the Elks Lodge at 1910 E. Maple St. in Globe at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in Mike’s honor to Hospice of the Valley (www.HOV.org) or The Apache Bow Hunters.

Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
