Miami Senior Center news Jan. 16-22

MIAMI — The Miami Senior Center at 506 W. Live Oak St. offers lunch Monday through Friday. Call 928-473-4190. Cobre Valley Transit Rides 928-473-8222.

The suggested donation is $2 for ages 60 and up. People under 60 can also enjoy lunches for $4 and are welcome any time. Anyone 50 and older can come and enjoy the crafts and activities and are welcome any time.

Thursday, Jan. 16 —Bingo 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat roll, tropical fruit

Friday, Jan. 17 — Coffee club 8-10 a.m., Karaoke 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Spaghetti with turkey meat sauce, peas and carrots, garlic bread, spinach salad with tomato, banana

Monday, Jan. 20 — CLOSED

Tuesday, Jan. 21 —Loteria 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Chicken soup with brown rice, broccoli slaw, wheat crackers, vanilla pudding with banana

Wednesday, Jan. 22 — Coffee club 8-10 a.m.

Menu: Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed veggies, wheat roll, pineapple upside down cake

All meals are served with 1 percent milk.

Miami Senior Center cannot deliver homebound meals without authorization from a case manager. Many people believe that they just have to call the center to receive a meal, but they must be referred through Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens. Call 1-800-293-9393.
