GLOBE — The Globe Varsity Boys Basketball team won all three of their games last week to raise their regular season record to 5-0 and 6-3 overall with wins at Miami (94-59), Hayden (80-48), and at home vs San Manuel (99-74).
In the Miami game, the Tigers raced out to a 55-22 half-time lead and cruised to the victory.
At Hayden, the Tigers led 71-35 after three quarters to put away the Lobos. In hosting San Manuel, the Tigers had a lead of 62-41 at half time and scored 37 points to the Miners 33 in the second half to seal the victory.
Robert Burries, Jr tallied 67 points in the three games to lead the Tigers in scoring, Braden Dalton netted 41 points, Daniel Widner chipped in with 30, Martine Reede contributed 29, Cory Chee added 27, and Brandon Pina popped in 26.
“I really like this team and the way they share the ball and play hard at all times”, Coach James Simmons stated.
“With as many scorers we have developed, it’s better for us so teams aren’t able to key on just BJ or Braden”, Simmons added.
