The Miami girls competed at the cross country sectional on Friday, Nov. 8 and Jalen Pike placed 19th at 24:56; Mycala Stapleton placed 25th at 25:27, Selena Corsco came in at 34:27. Pike and Stapleton both qualified for state. There was a total 52 girl runners competing.
The boys team placed fifth with 141 points qualifying for state. Joaquin Mariscal placed 18th at 19:38; Ryan Tidey placed 22nd at 19:50; Landon Anthony placed 28th at 20:20; Corey Harrison placed 48th at 21:49; Daniel Moat placed 67th at 24:35; Mac Monroe placed 67th at 25:22; Austin Mariscal placed 72nd at 27:28. There was a total of 74 boy runners competing.
