MIAMI — Miami officially proclaimed March 5, 2018, Miami’s one hundredth birthday.
Plans are underway to celebrate the actual day with Miami’s Mayor Darryl Dalley’s presentation of honored guests followed by the reading of the proclamation and a ceremonial cannon shot.
A Centennial weekend of various Miami events will be held that following Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11.
The Town of Miami invites everyone to mark their calendars and prepare to celebrate Miami’s 100th Birthday with food, music, cars, contests, several exhibits around town and, of course, birthday cake.
There will be presentation form the Sports Hall of Fame at the Miami Library on March 10 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
