Posted

The San Carlos Apache group that has been coming together to discuss Apache culture, language and tradition had their meeting recently in Camp Verde, Ariz. with Vincent Randall and his group.

Some of the people who have been meeting on Apache culture are: Kathy Wesley Kitcheyan, Beatrice Lee, Marlowe Cassadore, Louie Lorenzo, Vernelda Grant, Twila Cassadore, Cordella Moses and Steven Pahe, Jr.

Most of these people work in tribal programs that touch on Apache culture, language and tradition, and it was good that these people working on these important subjects would come together and start discussing their common work.

More information on this group will be forthcoming as they continue to develop the group and the projects and activities that will animate from this group.

From this meeting in Camp Verde, a date was set for Randall to come to San Carlos and talk of the Apache Clan system. The date of this event is Feb. 19, and more information on this will be forthcoming from the local media.
