With respect for the council and the people of Miami I make this report. I cannot help but be troubled by the attitude of this council when it comes to the issue of allowing marijuana to flow freely, though legally, with the council’s consent. What kind of a message does this send within our communities? The fact is that some of us are more concerned that our sister city might beat us to distributing this drug for whatever reason. I could just imagine what is going through the minds of some of the youngsters in our town. Maybe we can reason with them with the help of organizations like the Miami Kids Machine. In closing, I just want to say that every action has consequences.
Thanks very much,
Jose (Angel) Medina Sr.
Councilman, Town of Miami
