Matthew Louis Ortiz Sr. 47, passed away Sept. 25, 2019 in Tucson, Ariz.
Matthew was a Globe-Miami native. He lettered in all sports for the Miami Vandals and graduated in 1990.
After graduation he started a family with the birth of his daughter in 1992 and son in 1996. He worked a variety of different jobs from mining, to construction to towing and other trades. He was a son, father, brother, cousin, grandfather and friend.
Matthew Louis Ortiz Sr. is survived by his parents Irving and Deborah (Sartain) Ortiz , his brother Andrew Ortiz, daughter Zabrina Ortiz, son Matthew Ortiz Jr. and (Brooke) Granddaughters Liliana Floyd and Kloe Ortiz and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins .
A celebration of his life was held on Oct. 3 at Lamont Mortuary in Globe Az.
